Kapil Sharma starrer ‘Zwigato’, directed by Nandita Das, released on Friday along with Rani Mukerji starrer ‘Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway’ and ‘Kabza’. While the film opened to decent reviews and was in the news because of Kapil’s name, it didn’t really translate at the box-office.
According to Boxofficeindia.com, ‘Zwigato’ collected around 20 lakhs nett on Friday while Saturday’s business was slightly better at around 35 lakhs. The film has managed to earn around Rs 55 lakh in two days. The business of the film will have to see a miraculous bounce to have a slightly respectable weekend on Sunday, as the numbers for the first two days are quite low.
The Kapil Sharma starrer also clashed with ‘Tu Jhootha Main Makkar’ and ‘Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway’. The latter has done well in Kolkata because of Rani Mukerji. The collection of the film has doubled on Saturday. It grossed around 2.50 crores taking the two day total of the film to 3.75 crores.

With the growth in the Saturday numbers of ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’, it is expected to maintain a good hold in the coming days as well. It created a record opening day in Norway as it collected twice as much as films like ‘Padmaavat’ and ‘Pathan’.
Sunday’s numbers will decide the fate of these films, but for now, ‘Zwigato’ is definitely behind ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’.
