Salman Khan has been the country’s most eligible bachelor for the last few decades. The superstar has always been very open about his relationships and there have been times when he came very close to getting married. In one of his old interviews, Salman had talked about asking Juhi Chawla’s father S Chawla for her hand in marriage but unfortunately he was rejected.
In the short clip from his old interview, Salman looked dapper in a printed blue shirt and hat. Then can we hear Salman talking about Juhi how sweet and cute she is. Salman said, “Juhi is very sweet. Sweet girl. I asked her father if he would let her marry me.”

The interview then asked Salman about his father’s reaction to his proposal. To which, he replied, “No. I think doesn’t fit the bill.” Salman further said that he does not know why Juhi’s father rejected her and what are her qualities. Many felt that Salman was too soft-spoken during the interview while some others called it a heart-breaking moment for the superstar.

For the uninitiated, Salman and Juhi have worked together only once in the 1997 comedy Deewana Mastana which also starred Anil Kapoor and Govinda. Salman made a special appearance in the film directed by David Dhawan.

Juhi is happily married to businessman Jai Mehta since 1995. They welcomed two children, a daughter Jhanvi and son Arjun.
