The film earned Rs 9 crore on its second day according to trade website boxofficeindia.com; It saw a decline of 35 per cent. With these numbers, the total collection of ‘Tu Jhootha Main Makkar’ has gone up to Rs 23 crore and now all eyes are on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The film is expected to pick up momentum in the cities over the weekend, but as per the trade, the buzz in larger areas tends to fizzle out once the festive period gets over.
The film got a great boost in UP and Bihar as well, but declined in Gujarat and Saurashtra regions. Hence, it looks like the film will struggle in the mass centres. But it can be expected that this film of Luv Ranjan will register a tremendous jump on Saturday and Sunday. However, Saturday’s numbers are expected to be better from multiplexes. However, the numbers are quite low so far for a film of this stature, hence, they are expected to go up.
Since it has no competition from any release till next Friday, March 17, Tu Jhootha Main Makkar has a full week to make the most of its time at the box office. With ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’, ‘Zwigato’ and ‘Kabza’ releasing next Friday, these releases will compete with ‘Tu Jhoothi…’ from next week.
