In a recent interview when director Siddharth Anand was asked about Pathan in Tiger 3, he said that he doesn’t have much say in it. Siddharth revealed in an interview with India Today that Aditya Chopra has a say in it as it is his idea and how he wants to crossover. Anand is not involved about Pathan in Tiger 3, but he feels that ‘Pathan’ has created such a template that it is easy for everyone to come and cross it. One can only pick up pieces from them.
Aditya Chopra had announced his espionage universe ahead of the release of ‘Pathan’ and it also includes Anand’s previous film ‘War’, which starred Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. The director is also working with Hrithik in his next film ‘Fighter’. When asked if Hrithik sees ‘Pathan’ as a competition, Siddharth said that he is not a competition, but a part of the universe. Hrithik has collaborated a lot during the making of ‘Pathan’ and he liked the film’s music long before Siddharth narrated it to him. The director revealed that after the trailer of ‘Pathan’ came out, Hrithik was the first to message him and said that he liked it.
Siddharth is looking forward to all the combinations and permutations he can do with characters like Kabir (Hrithik from ‘War’) and ‘Pathan’ as they are very opposite. It’s about the strength that each character adds to this universe. Hence, Siddharth assures that if ever there is a crossover between Kabir and Pathan, it will be a treat for the audience.
Currently, the director is shooting for ‘Fighter’ with Hrithik, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor. The film will release in January 2024.
