In an interview to Hindustan Times, Siddharth opened up on being the ‘Man of the Hour’ and shared that it is indeed a great feeling. He said, “It’s an incredible feeling. It’s immense recognition for all the hard work, effort and journey of filmmaking for 20 years. And, to finally make a film that stands at the pinnacle of all Hindi films.” It’s humbling, moving and exciting, it’s all adjectives, rolled into one.”
The filmmaker also opened up on coming together with Pathan amid the unprecedented times of the pandemic being over and #BoycottBollywood trending. He added, “The idea was not to do anything about the boycott trend. It was just the film to respond to them because we knew there was nothing objectionable in the film. There was nothing to offend them, in fact, They will enjoy the film. We wish they would give us a chance and at least watch the film. And that’s what happened. After Pathan’s first two shows, all those voices died, there was only love. After all, that’s what happened No matter how much we say ‘Oh, there’s nothing objectionable in this,’ it will only create more noise.
Post PathanSiddharth is now at the helm Warrior, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. The film is expected to hit the theaters early next year.
