Sharmila Tagore has made some candid revelations about her old co-stars and their shooting experiences of late. During her recent stint on The Kapil Sharma Show, she spoke at length about her time working with Shammi Kapoor in An Evening in Paris and Kashmir Ki Kali.
Recalling Shammi’s outburst of energy on the sets of Kashmir Ki Kali, Sharmila revealed, “Shammi Kapoor was very difficult to work with and I was a newcomer. He would do something in rehearsals and something else in the actual take. Sometimes they used to come from here, sometimes from there, sometimes they used to come from above.

The experience of working with Shammi on the sets of An Evening in Paris was even more surprising. Sharmila recalled the incident when Shammi jumped from the helicopter. She said, “In the song ‘Aasmaan se aaya farishta’ in Evening in Paris, Shammi ji was hanging from the helicopter. I was water skiing (Sharmila wore a swimsuit). He was showing off on the edge of the helicopter.” Thighs, very sexy…tough even for a helicopter pilot. In the middle of the shot, he suddenly jumped on the boat without any instructions. It was not in the script. Shammi ji was like that.”
She revealed that the impromptu stunt surprised everyone on the sets.
