The actor got this small role with the help of his NSD classmate Suhas Khandke who was assisting on the film. Satish had revealed that he was very happy when he got his first salary of Rs 500 in an interview with indianexpress.com. He had shared that, he was so excited that he jumped from one platform of the station to another as he wanted to catch a faster train. People started shouting at the station, ‘Marega, kya kar raha hai?’ But little did he know that Satish was so excited to start his career as an actor. He celebrated his first acting job and salary with two bottles of cold drinks.
Satish further revealed that during the same shoot, Rajkumar Satoshi, who was the first AD of the film, told him that he was a good actor. Satish was very happy to hear this. As an actor he is widely known for films like ‘Mr India’, ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Saajan Chale Sasural’.
He produced and directed films like ‘Tere Naam’, ‘Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai’, ‘Milenge’, ‘Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain’. His last film role will be in Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency’.
