Satish Kaushik died of a heart attack on 8 March. The actor-director was 66. Kaushik in one of his unpublished interviews to a news portal mentioned how being fit and active is essential for a career in films.

Elaborating further, Kaushik said that he has to act, direct and run his business, so becoming fitter was very important for him. The filmmaker revealed that he has already lost eight kilos in three weeks and has more to lose. He said that he has done this before as well.
He also said that he felt the need to innovate with time. According to him, he does this to keep pace with today’s generation and repackage himself accordingly.
He worked in many films in a long and storied career like Mr. India, Deewana Mastana, Brick Lane, Saajan Chale Sasural and many more. He has directed films like Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Prem, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain and Tere Naam.
