How did you prepare for the song ‘Khelo Shyam Sang Hori’?

Aarush Verma and I have been friends for the last six years and I love Amitabh S Verma Uncle’s voice. I was very excited when his wife Shruti Verma, who is also the producer of this video, approached me for the music video. He has known me for years. Coming together to work professionally was a dream come true. I was very interested to be a part of ‘Khelo Shyam Sang Hori’ as it is my first Sufi song.

How was your experience shooting for the song?
It was an amazing experience and I really enjoyed shooting for this song. It felt like I was having fun with my friend. My character is exactly like who I am in real life and Aarush is the friend you see on screen. I really enjoyed shooting for it.

What kind of response are you getting for the song?

The song is getting a phenomenal response and I am getting a lot of love and great reactions too. They are showering love on our videos and it is very satisfying. Within 10 hours it crossed 1 million views. I’m really overwhelmed and I hope it grows more.

Apart from your family ties, what attracted you to be a part of this song?

Amitabh uncle’s voice is so mesmerizing that it touches your heart. The fact that it is a Sufi song and different from what I have done so far is what really attracted me. The entire video was shot in Vrindavan which is a dreamy place.

You have been a part of some very interesting and successful projects like ‘Mom’, ‘Kaali Khushi’, ‘Uri’ and others. How do you look back at him today?

I am really proud to have been a part of all my past projects and I feel blessed that I am still getting so much love for all the projects that I have done. I would be happy if a sequel is made to any of these films. I would love to be a part of it again.

You are one of the youngest, hottest social media influencers we have. How did it all start?

It all started during the lockdown period. I used to study and was free most of the time. I started using Tiktok and then Instagram. I used to make videos at home and then post them. I really enjoyed expressing my acting talent and my fashion sense through my videos and pictures.

Some time ago there was a lot of ruckus regarding your age. How do you deal with that conflict?

I would beg to differ on this one. I don’t think there was any controversy as such. My mother keeps me away from such things as much as possible. I try to focus on my work and try to give my 100 percent for the people I love.

Getting so much fame at such a young age can be overwhelming. Do you miss being a normal teenager?

I do not think so. In fact, I feel very happy when little kids come up and say, ‘Didi we love you!’. I love kids so it makes me happy to get appreciation from them. When I am not working, I enjoy my life like a typical teenager.

Is there anyone in the industry that you look up to?

There are many people in the industry who are doing great work. I have always looked up to Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt.

What kind of projects would you like to be a part of?

I feel proud of whatever work I have done in the past. However, I feel closer to the film ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’. I would like to be a part of films where I get a chance to play challenging roles.

What will happen next?

There are many films in the pipeline. I cannot give details now.
