Rani’s dear friend Karan Johar joined in the discussion with the lead actors and team. Rani touched Karan’s feet which won the hearts of millions. Responding to Rani’s gesture, Karan said, ‘Our relationship is unique. She used to be my sister when I was young, then she became ‘sister-in-law’. Taking inspiration from Karan’s words, Rani said, “But someday I will not be your mother.” Videos of funny banter between two best friends are going viral on the internet.
The queen was draped in a white saree with black border. She sported a black bindi with minimal accessories. Karan wore a black jacket and baggy pants.
The event was attended by Sagarika Bhattacharya, on whom Rani’s character is based in the film. The ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ actor got emotional after meeting Sagarika. Videos and pictures of the moment were shared by paparazzi and fan pages.
At the event, Rani also talked about her husband Aditya Chopra’s reaction to ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway.” Addressing the media, Rani said, “Adi was shocked to see the film. He was very impressed and I don’t think I have seen him so impressed in a film. Last time when Yash’s uncle passed away, he was very shaken. He is a parent today, so he got it. He was very sweet and hugged me like I am his child. He said well done and I said thank you. It was a moment as Adi praises me behind my back. I think he could not control himself and got emotional after watching the film.”
