Prasoon Joshi on Natu Natu’s Oscar win: We need to leave behind a legacy of quality songs hindi movie news – Usky News



Prasoon Joshi himself an eminent poet and lyricist, and CBFC Chairman, shared his joy over MM Keeravani and RRR’s win at the Oscars with the song Naatu Naatu.

Prasoon says, “I couldn’t be happier for music director MM Keeravani and lyricist Chandrabose. The song and the film have made their place in the hearts of Indians. It’s wonderful to see them resonating globally. Congratulations to the entire team of RRR.”

Prasoon, who has penned notable songs like Mukhtasar Mulakat Hai, Lukka Chuppi and Masak Kali, believes the legacy of film music is now back on the right track. He says, “Songs have been celebrated in Indian cinema and have been memorable across generations. We need to ensure that the quality of our songs and music is given due importance by the producers in the here and beyond. Quality songs are our legacy.” For lovers of good music, poetry and cinema there is a need to create and leave behind.

Prasoon’s work in ad films has won the prestigious Cannes Lions Gold award in the past. He has also won the National Award for Best Lyrics several times.
