‘Naatu Naatu’ from SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ has created history as it has won the first Golden Globe and now the Oscar award. It certainly can’t get any bigger than this. The entire nation is celebrating the victory of Team RRR and the music composer MM Keeravani (lovingly called MM Krem) who is behind the song.
Pooja Bhatt has worked with Keeravani as a producer on several projects. Reacting to the prestigious Academy Award winning composer, Pooja expressed, “With time the world woke up to the genius that is MM Cream. We always believed that he was the most underrated music director in India – especially in Hindi cinema. This victory will drive us forward. Let a whole new generation go back and rediscover the treasures and gems it has given us in the past. ‘Zakhm’, ‘Sur’, ‘Jism’, ‘Rog’ ‘ and ‘Dhokha’… Krem Sir gave us tunes to keep us going and not just chartbusters that vanish from the public consciousness in a matter of months.

MM Keeravani has also given Pooja one of her most memorable songs as an actor – ‘Gali Mein Aaj Chand Nikla’ from ‘Zakhm’ (1998).
Reminiscing the memories from decades ago, the actress said, “Galli Mein Aaj Chand Nikla is an anthem.. that resonates across the globe year after year. Its simplicity and pure melody is what defines MM Cream. It comes from its heart. Who composes, why his music remains in our hearts.
