Deepika looked drop dead gorgeous in a black outfit on the red carpet of the 95th Academy Awards. The Bollywood diva grabbed everyone’s attention with her glamorous avatar.
The actress shared a glimpse of her entire outfit on Instagram, which left fans in splits. She chose a black velvet gown and looked breath-taking.

However, she is not the first Indian to perform at the prestigious Academy Awards. Earlier only two Indians have performed at the Oscars.
In 1980, Persis Khambatta became the first Indian to be selected for the honour. Khambata was an actor and model best remembered for playing Lieutenant Illya in 1979’s Star Trek: The Motion Picture. In 1980, she climbed the stage at the Oscars to present the award for Best Feature-Length Documentary Film.
Priyanka Chopra, who presented at the Oscars, was the second to do so. In 2016, Chopra presented nominations for Achievement in Film Editing. He was accompanied on stage by American actor and director Liev Schreiber.
