Academy President Juluru Gauri Shankar announced on Wednesday that a felicitation ceremony would be held at Ravindra Bharati in Hyderabad on March 28.
He said that the entire Telangana society is proud that by using Telugu rural phrases, Chandrabose wrote a vibrant song which won world acclaim.
Gauri Shankar held a meeting with the representatives of various literary bodies on Wednesday and discussed the arrangements for the meeting. He said that for the first time a Telugu song is getting a global award, it is a matter of great pleasure for all.
In the meeting, it was decided to hold a meeting on 28th March to honor Chandrabose who had brought such great laurels to Telugu literacy in the field of film songs.
The President of the Akademi appealed to the poets and writers to attend the meeting. He said that film lyricist Chandra Bose has made Telangana proud by taking Telugu songs to the world stage.
