The latest reports on the film’s second day collections reveal that ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’ has registered a growth of almost 78 percent taking its total to Rs 2.26 crore. The film’s collections have seen a 100 per cent jump in Mumbai, Delhi and Mysore, while West Bengal has seen a jump of 90 per cent. ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’ has collected a total of Rs 7.77 crore worldwide.

Rani Mukerji starrer ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’ is based on the true story of Sagarika Bhattacharya, who fought against the Norwegian Child Welfare Services Barnvarnet for the custody of her children. Talking about her character, Rani said that she took inspiration from her mother Krishna Mukherjee. She shared, “As an actor, I wanted to give my own interpretation to the character. I didn’t want too much stuff and people should find similarities between my role and the real person. Ashima had recorded several tapes of Sagarika. went, and I looked up to her for some references, but the rest of the character is actually based on my mother. She is the most Bengali person I know… whether we have to feed with our hands, we have to put a tikka … I drew strength and inspiration from my mother.
