In a recent interview to a tabloid, both filmmakers Luv Ranjan and Ranbir spoke about the film, where Luv revealed that the actor has shown a lot of faith in him and is yet to collect his fee. She said, “He hasn’t taken my money from me yet. There comes a time in your life when you have to tell the other person that I need this thing right now. So, in the last four years, he hasn’t failed me.” Did.”
Ranbir also went ahead and said that Luv has put everything at stake for TJMM and surprisingly it has been a role model since time immemorial. He said, “I’ve heard that when my grandfather used to make films, houses were mortgaged and my grandmother’s jewelry was mortgaged. To put your skin in the game like that, to make films is a level of insanity.” , I’ve always respected that. I think it’s going to be fun now because someone has put their lives on the line to make a film. It sounds crazy to do all this for a film but it’s also an honour.”
Recently, according to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Luv had offered two more films to Ranbir even before TJMM hit the screens. The first is the autobiography of former cricketer Sourav Ganguly, for whom Ranbir was always a strong contender. Ranbir himself has on several occasions expressed his interest in playing the role of ‘Dada’ on screen, as the former Indian cricket captain is fondly called. However, Luv will not direct but will produce it.
The next film will see Luv exploring the action genre, something he has never done before. Apparently, initially Ajay Devgan and Ranbir Kapoor were cast in the film together as brothers, but the coup could not happen due to date issues.
