A great actor, a great human being and the best landlord I had during my struggling days in the city,’ Kartik wrote alongside the photo. Your encouraging words and laughter will always be remembered sir. RIP Satish sir.
In a throwback interview with Humans of Bombay, Kartik talked about his initial days in the city of dreams. A part of the post shared on Instagram read, “I used to travel for 6 hours 3-4 times a week for auditions. Sometimes, I was rejected from outside the studio because I was ‘not the part’ ‘ was not visible.” But I still had hope. Soon I got projects like a few seconds in an advertisement and that kept me going. Eventually I rented a flat in Andheri with 12 boys. I had limited money.”
It also said, “After two-and-a-half years of struggle, what I had envisioned as a possibility was now a reality. After Pyaar Ka Panchma, there were still not many opportunities. I was in a film with 12 boys. Stayed in the same flat till my third film!”
