Karan Johar is making his comeback as a director after seven years and he is very excited about it. His last directorial venture was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor. KJo today announced on social media that he has wrapped up shooting for ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. He also shared some unseen behind the scenes pictures with the entire cast and crew including Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan and Dharmendra.
Karan also shared an emotional note, in which he wrote, “It’s been 7 years since I directed a film…. I started a film journey which I had to stop midway due to various unavoidable reasons And then came the germ of #rockyaurranikipremkahani.” A real life family anecdote for me (which my father once told me) and then my troops helped me create everything I wanted with my 7th specialty…Bless me the best team ever Had met…a team so full of love that bidding them goodbye was not easy…..thanks to every single core team that helped me through the rough, thin, covid and bad weather… (you know That’s who you are and I will love you forever).

The cast and crew recently shot in Kashmir. Alia was on the set for the first time post pregnancy, so for the first time she was accompanied by her daughter Raha. The film is scheduled to release on July 28.
