Jets quarterback Zach Wilson was benched in favor of Chris Streveler at the end of the third quarter of New York’s 19-3 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night.
It marked the latest disappointing chapter in the two-season tenure of the No. 2 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft for the Jets, whose playoff hopes took a major blow with their fourth straight loss. Head coach Robert Saleh said after the game that this would not be Wilson’s last chapter with New York, despite even a steady rain from the evening not washing away.
