He further wrote, “All That Breathes will always claim both Oscar and BAFTA nominations, while it has already won global acclaim by winning Cannes Film Festival, Cinema Eye Honors Awards, American Society of Cinematographers USA and Asia Pacific Screen Awards.” Guneet was all praise for Shaunak, as she wrote, “I will always name Shaunak Sen before the world as one of India’s most important filmmakers.”
Guneet concluded her praise with the message, “Yesterday’s Oscars may have passed, but the impact of ‘All That Breathes’ and its visionary director will continue to inspire and touch hearts.”
Earlier today, netizens and even comedian Vir Das expressed their displeasure over All That Breathes being left out of the Oscars. But Guneet’s appreciation must be some solace for the young filmmaker.
