Expressing grief over the demise of Satish Kaushik, Govinda said, “Very, very sad. May his soul rest in peace and may he rest in peace. Deeply saddened to know that Mere Sajan Chale Sasural Ke Muthu and Deewana Mastana’s Pappu Pager, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’s Sharafat Ali are no more.
Reminiscing about his close friend, Subhash Ghai told ETimes, “There are very few actors who are close to me in real life. People I can call up and share my happy and sad moments with . Satish was one of them when we worked together. In ‘Ram Lakhan’. I met him last month. We talked about Karan Razdan’s film at the premiere of that film. Satish as always was very kind. Excited. He was talking about his next film, the next film he is going to direct. He was a great actor, be it on stage, on the big screen, on the small screen or whether he was writing . He was great at everything he did.”
