Did you know that Adarsh Gaurav traveled to a remote village in Nagpur to prepare for his role in ‘Extrapolation’ opposite Meryl Streep? – Usky News

Adarsh Gaurav’s upcoming Hollywood project ‘Extrapolations’ is set in a dystopian time, but is also rooted in the reality of the growing effects of climate change that the world is currently enduring. And for Gaurav, who is an integral part of the project, it was important to understand the different layers of the character he essays in the series and the script he is a part of. While Gaurav is not new to understanding the pain of his character, for The White Tiger too he spent time working at a food stall as part of his preparation for his role of Balram Halwai.

Although he dared to extrapolate when he began his preparation, the process was emotionally grueling. Adarsh, before shooting in both India and the US, went to a remote village in Nagpur where he met widows of real farmers. Talking to them made them aware of the deep truth of these people whose cases were very little reported. The experience shocked and surprised him.

Talking about it, Adarsh said, “I believe in understanding and empathizing with the person I see on screen. For this role, I went to a remote village in Nagpur where I met real farmers’ widows. Talking to him exposed me to a reality that is neither well reported nor documented which helped me reach the path of character. I hope that through this show, more people, especially from big cities, will understand the sacrifices made by farmers and their families so that they can eat comfortably at home. I hope this show brings a change so that these widows and their children get a chance to do something in their life.

Recently the trailer for Extrapolation by Scott Z. Burns was out. The cast includes Meryl Streep, Kit Harington, Edward Norton, Tobey Maguire and others.
