Amitabh Bachchan was happy with India’s double whammy at the Oscars, said- ‘India’s flag has been buried abroad’ – Usky News

Amitabh Bachchan, who is recuperating at home after suffering a rib injury on the sets of Project K in Hyderabad, took to his Twitter handle today to celebrate India’s big win at the Oscars. For the uninitiated, from MM Keeravani and Chandrabose’s ‘Naatu Naatu’ RRR Became the first Indian song to win an Academy Award for ‘Best Original Song’ in a Telugu production. Not only this, elephant whisperingDirected by Kartiki Gonsalves and produced by Guneet Monga, won the award for Best Documentary Short Film.

The veteran actor couldn’t contain his excitement and wrote, “T 4585 – Hum Jeet Gaye! Hum do Jeet Gaye! We won for the country and the people! We won!! Planted the flag of India, abroad “Oscar 95.”

The actor also penned his thoughts in his blog and wrote, “We have won..the long awaited recognition..accepting the award in the eyes of the onlookers..but are we so aware of the attention..yes we do.” It is not considered.. but we get it.. and we are entitled to it…”

The actor also said that the country has never been ‘less’ but we still have a ‘long way to go’. He wrote, “But a focus ruled and governed by a foreign nation .. what they achieve makes us proud .. we are no less .. no less than any other .. and in recent times we or rather I find that attention is being drawn to those who perpetuated the colonial system of governance, it is being debated and public opinion is being drawn to its adequacy and merits. Within society and believes and does whatever is being expounded on the outside…”

After recovering from injury, Amitabh Bachchan will return to shooting. except of the projectThe actor will also be seen in the mythological drama Lone man With Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon.
