Taking to his social media handle, the Bollywood hunk shared screenshots of his video chat with the ‘Loki’ actor and made fans go gaga over their conversation. Sharing a screenshot of himself and Tom smiling ear-to-ear, Aditya wrote, “The OG night manager saw our show yesterday!”
He informed fans that the star watched the Indian adaptation of the web series ‘The Night Manager’ and revealed, “He had some kind words to say. What more could one want?”
Aditya had some big shoes to fill after taking over the role played by Tom in the original.
‘The Night Manager’ is a 1993 novel by British author John le Carré, who died in December 2020. The series is the official Hindi adaptation of John Le Carré’s novel of the same name.
The story revolves around the night manager of a luxury hotel, an ex-serviceman, who is recruited by a government espionage organization to infiltrate the inner circle of an arms dealer.
Following the success of the Hindi adaptation, Hiddleston announced earlier this month that a second season of the show is in the works. Filming is set to begin later this year in London and South America under the codename ‘Steelworks’.
Although it is yet to be formally greenlit, it is reported that the show is set to get a two-season order. David Farr, who wrote the original, will return for Season 2.
Since the conclusion of the first season in late 2016, several rumors of a second season have surfaced.
It remains to be seen whether other stars from the original series, including Olivia Colman and Elizabeth Debicki, return.
