Guneet along with director Karthik Gonsalves was present on the Oscars dais to receive the honour. An emotional Guneet thanked everyone while holding her Oscar and dedicated it to 4 billion Indians. The producer said, “Tonight is historic. It’s the first Oscar for an Indian production and two women here have won it! 1.4 billion Indians, this is for you. We all came together to make it happen.”
She added, “All I want to say to all the women watching this is that the future is daring, the future is us and the future is here! Jai Hind.”

In his acceptance speech, Kartiki said, “I am here today for the sacred bond between us and our natural world, for respect for indigenous communities, and for empathy for other living beings and, ultimately, for coexistence.” I’m here to talk.” Gonsalves said in his acceptance speech.
The other nominees in this category were ‘Hallout’, ‘How Do You Measure a Year?’, ‘The Martha Mitchell Effect’ and ‘Stranger at the Gate’.
